Knights Academy is Sharon Elementary's after-school program for those who need childcare from 2:20pm-6:00pm

PROGRAM POLICY 2026-2027

Welcome to our Knights Academy after school program at Sharon Elementary! Knights Academy is designed to provide a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable environment for elementary school-age students who need supervision after school. Activities will include homework, recreational sports, and free playtime. Please review the policies and procedures below.

HOURS AND AVAILABILITY - Operating hours for Knights Academy are from school dismissal until 6:00pm. A LATE FEE OF $5.00 PER MINUTE PER CHILD(REN) will be charged for every minute past 6:00pm that you are late according to the school clock. During early release days, the program will run from 11:50am until 5pm. Knights Academy will not be open during school holidays or in the event of inclement weather.

PRICING -All payments will be made online through SchoolPay and are due on the 1st of the month. The monthly tuition is $325 per child and $250 for each subsequent child. If not paid by the 10th of the month, a 10% late fee will be accessed. If not paid by the 15th of the month, your child(ren) will not be able to participate in the program until their balance is paid in full. A one time, non-refundable $65 registration fee per child will be collected prior to admission. Student accounts are billed regardless of attendance. Once your child is enrolled you are reserving a space. We require one month’s notice, in writing, if you decide that your child will no longer attend the after-school program.

ELECTRONICS - All Forsyth County School policies apply to the Knights Academy program and will be enforced. If your child brings their device to after school, we will not be responsible for any devices that are lost or broken. Cellphones are not permitted in Knights Academy.

HOMEWORK/READING -A structured homework/reading time is allotted daily for all students. Our teachers do not provide one on one tutoring, but our staff is there for support. It is the child’s responsibility to know if they have homework/reading to complete.

SNACK - One snack will be provided to your child(ren) at the beginning of the after-school session, however, please feel free to send an extra snack or drink if needed. Please inform staff of any dietary restrictions.

PICK-UP - Only people listed on the registration form and in infinite campus will be allowed to pick up your child(ren). Please contact Kerrie Williams, kwilliams52@forsyth.k12.ga.us and/or Renee Dickey, rdickey@forsyth.k12.ga.us with any Knight’s Academy transportation or pickup changes. You must park and walk inside the school to sign your child(ren) out every day. You may not call to have your child(ren) walk out to your car. Picture identification will be checked until staff members are familiar with parents or authorized person(s).

BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES - We will strive to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to the safety and enjoyment of all children. There will be rules and guidelines for each child to follow. If any problem should arise, the following consequences will then be followed.

1st - Warning and note home to parent

2nd - Suspension from the program for one day

3rd - Suspension from the program for two weeks

4th - Suspension from the program for one month

5th - Dismissed from the Knights Academy program.

By registering my child for Knights Academy, you acknowledge and agree to all of the above listed program policies.
