Summer Camps

Sharon’s Camp Invention® will be held at Settles Bridge Elementary School this summer!
In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame® (NIHF), Sharon and Settles Bridge Elementary School are excited to offer the nationally acclaimed Camp Invention® program to children entering K through 6th grade. This inspiring, weeklong summer experience provides opportunities for open-ended, hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and more! Taking on a variety of exhilarating activities each day, children have fun collaborating with friends, thinking creatively and inventing their own solutions to real-world challenges.
Introducing an All-New 2026 Camp Invention Experience!
Inspire your young innovator with a one-of-a-kind summer adventure! Exciting, hands-on challenges will spark curiosity and build their confidence as they dive into limitless STEM fun full of opportunities to imagine, experiment and create. Read more about the four unique experiences that make up our all-new 2026 Camp Invention® program:
Fur-ensics™
From fingerprints to DNA evidence, get ready for mystery-solving fun! Your camper will sharpen their detective skills as they explore forensic science with their own adorable robotic capybara! They will collect curious clues, examine suspicious splatters and create a sleuthing gadget to support their investigation.
Make Waves™
Your camper will make a splash in the world of innovation as they ride the waves of entrepreneurship, experiment with hands-on physics and design an eye-catching billboard boat that really floats!
Space Morphers™
In an out-of-this-world adventure, your young explorer will build a DIY rocket and launch a mission to transform a planet for future habitation. After collecting important data, they will record scientific observations in their space lab as they hatch a mysterious animal egg and encounter a dazzling crystal surprise!
The Infringers™
Campers will team up with the Innovation Force® – National Inventors Hall of Fame® Inductees – to solve challenges in their community and around the world! As they dream up bold new inventions, they will construct a wearable cryptography device and learn how to protect their genius ideas from the sneaky Infringers.

Challenge Island is a unique program that provides STEAM enrichment in the form of summer camp right at your school! Students work in STEAM teams with other kids their age to conquer fun engineering challenges. This gives them the opportunity to learn about exciting new concepts while also acquiring important team work and social emotional skills!
Challenge Island will be held at Sharon Elementary from July 8th-July 12th, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM. The theme is Mine Island- a kids choice favorite! Some activities include:
-
Forts- Students learn about medieval fortresses and create a 3-dimensional shelter for their STEAM teams!
-
Slingshots and Catapults- Students learn about elasticity, potential and kinetic energy while creating different types of launchers!
-
Rockets- Students learn about the different parts of a rocket and how they work together to make it aerodynamic. They then work with their teams to make Ender Dragon stomp rockets!
-
Slime- Students learn about polymers and non-newtonian fluids and make different types of slime!
-
Plankton- Students learn about bioluminescent plankton and create their own that can achieve neutral buoyancy!
Join us for Challenge Island summer camp for these STEAM activities and so much more! Click HERE to register, HERE to learn more on our website or email us at mpepperman@challenge-island.com with any questions. We hope to see you this summer!
